Get our your gum and mints ready because today is National Garlic Day. Garlic is an incredibly healthy herbal plant that just happens to be a delicious addition to many recipes.

Garlic has a strong flavor and is full of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants. It can protect against coronary artery diseases, cancers and some infections. Garlic is also known to decrease the risk of stroke. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-viral qualities. The bulbs are rich in potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc.
