This time of year we are always reminded of the importance of
both 4-H and FFA. The lessons learned by being a member of these
organizations are so valuable. Some of our farm girls shared why
4-H and FFA were so amazing and what lessons they learned from the
time spent as a part of the groups.
You learn a love of animals, of community, of cooking, of team
work. The lessons are unlimited.
4-H gives a love of agriculture. It teaches you what is
important and can lead you to what direction to go in after high
FFA gives you the skill of confidence. It teaches you that you
can do anything you put your mind to.
4-H opens doors for you and allows you to make connections for
today, tomorrow and into the future.
Public speaking, raising animals, going to camp, meeting fellow
members. It's the best! Too many things to list.
Gives you the motivation to get involved. Pushes you outside of
your comfort zone. Makes you a better person.
Lifelong friendships with people close to you and miles away.
Memories that you can never replace.
It will teach you to come out of your shell, especially when you
find your passion.
Respect for the best advisors ever. Learning about
responsibility, hard work and dedication.
You learn to grow up, especially when other people depend on
Showing animals is amazing! Teaching responsibility by doing
something you love.
The FFA raises generations of strong men and women. It's a
Learning that agriculture is much more than being a farmer and
it's so important to communities and the world.
Preparing for the fair and winning ribbons. Something you work
so hard for and you see the results.
You will always see a blue and gold jacket in a special way.
The value of service. Volunteering your time. Sharing your
talents with others makes you a better person.
Learning leadership at a young age is so valuable. It makes you
a better student, friend and person in the future.
